Hi. I'm alece.
I'm the Founder & Owner of Rest Easy Nashville.
Looking back, I realize I've always worked in hospitality — just in the most non-traditional way possible.
Before moving to Nashville in 2011, I started and ran a nonprofit in South Africa for 13 years. In addition to our work in leadership development and AIDS prevention education, we also hosted thousands of short-term travelers over the years, providing unique opportunities to experience the culture of our wildly diverse and beautiful Southern African region. One of my personal (and favorite) priorities within the organization was ensuring that our guests had the best experience possible during their time with us.
After purchasing my East Nashville home in 2013, I ventured into the world of Airbnb hosting. As someone who loves to travel and experience other cultures, I discovered that hosting guests from across America and around the world appeases my inner wanderlust — and fuels it at the same time.
I launched Rest Easy Nashville in 2017 to help others who want to enjoy the benefits of being an Airbnb host, but feel overwhelmed by all the details or the time it requires.
I've always been passionate about quality experiences, excellent service, and genuine hospitality. Now I get to channel those passions toward showcasing our vibrant city, offering travelers a more local experience, and helping homeowners earn effortless income with their short-term rental properties.
