Operations Specialist
Rest Easy Nashville is looking for a detail-oriented multi-tasker to help curate high-quality experiences for our guests, strengthen partner relationships, and provide quality care for our homeowners’ properties. Flexibility, self-motivation, resourcefulness, and a strong work ethic are crucial. This position is ideal for problem solvers, over-communicators, and those with an almost-annoying eye for detail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Specialist is a part-time independent contractor position, responsible for maintaining the appearance, inventory, functionality, and overall guest experience of a portfolio of homes. In any given week, this could look like checking to ensure homes are guest-ready, restocking supplies, changing batteries, executing light maintenance, or helping to stage and launch new properties.
The Operations Specialist is also responsible for providing oversight of cleaner and maintenance relationships: scheduling jobs as needed, ensuring vendors perform their duties effectively and timely, managing communications with them, conducting inspections of their work, and building successful partnerships.
Additionally, the Operations Specialist is responsible for keeping our HQ Storage area stocked and organized, ordering consumables and other property/guest supplies, exploring marketing opportunities to increase brand loyalty and repeat bookings, implementing new strategies to wow guests, and refining systems, processes, and procedures to maximize efficiency and aid in organizational development.
SCHEDULE
There is a great deal of flexibility and freedom, with the Operations Specialist setting and managing his own weekly schedule. Properties are visited at least once every two weeks, with some being visited more frequently as required. With check-outs at 11 AM and check-ins at 4 PM, the bulk of the site visit work happens during those hours when there are same-day turns (a guest checking out and another checking in on the same day). When there is a gap between bookings, early mornings and evenings are also available options for site visits.
Scheduling for supply deliveries, inspections, light maintenance, and HQ storage organization is entirely up to the Operations Specialist, in accordance with the booking calendar and property needs. Communication with cleaning and maintenance vendors, supply ordering, marketing endeavors, process development, and other tasks are performed remotely as needed.
As a growing startup, there is significant opportunity for the role to expand down the road to include more responsibilities.
COMPENSATION
Pay is focused on outcomes rather than time spent, however estimated work time is 5-10 hours per week, fluctuating based on occupancy, needs, and efficiency. The work week is Sunday through Friday, though work is not typically required every day. Note: We restrict check-ins and check-outs on Saturdays so, barring a guest emergency, that day is always a guaranteed day off.
Base pay is $500 per month, plus additional pay per site visit, based on size of the property, with a starting portfolio of homes. This base pay would be increased as new properties are added to the portfolio.
Site visit compensation varies based on size and location of the property, ranging from $25 to $100 per site visit. There is high potential for growth of compensation as we consistently onboard new properties.
